Released version 0.1.3

Posted in Projects, ePDFView at 2:12 pm by Jordi Fita

Today I’ve released version 0.1.3 of ePDFView. This version is just a minor enhancement update and some bug fixes. I didn’t add any new feature in this version, but fixed some annoyances like mouse scrolling, single click on outlines and save current window’s position and size.

Actually I had to make a new tarball after the release because I did use Glib’s g_file_set_content() function to save the configuration file. As I’ve been pointed by Mr_Moustache, this function is only available on Glib version 2.8.x. Since I want to keep the current depence on GTK+ version 2.6.x I had to change it.

Love the new version, thanks for adding that stylus move capability. epdfview is now the perfect PDA pdf viewer.

    I wouldn’t say the perfect viewer… yet! ;-)

I fact I’m very curious of how it runs on a PDA, never though about this possibility while coding ePDFView.

Ah, and thank you with the help on the missing files on SVN. You and Broeisi Rast helped me on this issue and I appreciate that.

I have put epdfview in the build meta data for OpenEmbedded (http://www.openembedded.org) and it should turn up in the next release of OpenZaurus for zaurus PDA. I am running your app on my Zaurus right now and it is impressively fast. I used to use evince and gpdf but they are only just about usable. Your app is fully usable.

Like Graeme I am using epdfview on an embedded device and it is by far the best. Gpdf crashes regularly, Evince is slow and requires Gnome dependencies so discovering your project yesterday has brought a good end to the week :)
